Celebrants
We have personally
worked with the celebrants listed below. These celebrants are very
experienced and have been conducting weddings for many years. Each
one has their own style and can help you add your personal touch to
your ceremony. If you are having your wedding captured on video it
is extremely important to use a celebrant who knows the requirements
of the videographer and photographer and is fully experienced.
Makeup & Hair
A professional can do your hair,
headpiece and makeup at your home. Do not try to do it
yourself when you will have million other things to do. Always
have a few trials with different hair stylists & make up artists
before the wedding. It is really important that know what your hair
and makeup will look like on you. You can't change your mind on the
day. Remember, the photos will be with
you a lifetime so you will want to look your best. Inform your hair
dresser what time the photographer will be arriving. This is very
important if your hairdresser is late you will miss out on
photographs with you photographer.
Transport
Some questions to ask your
transport company! How many cars do they have and can they get other
cars? Some companies only have one car, this is ok but
you need to know what happens if there is a break down. You need to
sign a contract, this will protect you from price inflation and also
what is the overtime charge. We have been to weddings where
the car company drove the couple the long way around and thus they
where 5 min late. Wham another $20 please, it happens. Will the driver bring champagne and
water? Some companies supply these, some will carry around you esky.
Entertainment
A little story for you.
A few years ago (2002)
a client of ours paid a DJ company $850 to provide music at
her daughter's wedding. At the wedding I spoke with the lady
DJ who told an interesting story. It appears the original DJ could
not be at the wedding so he passed the job on to another DJ for
$500, who in turn, contacted the Lady DJ on the morning of the
wedding and asked if she could do the job for $190. After the
wedding , my client said she expected more from the DJ for $850, I
told her the Lady DJ did very well for $190. Make sure you know what
will happen to ALL the money you pay your DJ if he can not attend. A
good DJ will have no problem with returning ALL your money.
A little to think about.
Was it the intention
of the original DJ to pass the job on in the first place and make an
easy $350. Did the second DJ do the same. What would have happened
if the second DJ couldn't find anybody to attend the wedding.
A Few Questions to
ask.

Bridal Services
Have you got
the veil, ring cushion, flower girls basket, cake knife and the
list goes on... Choose your
wedding dress first and design your accessories around the style
of wedding and how much you wish to spend on these items. Purchase your shoes and wear them.. if
you don't you will regret it on the day, as well as being miserable. If you don't usually wear high heals
, stick to a low shoe that you will be able to walk in and not look
clumsy. If you have larger bridesmaids,
consider a dress style that suits them. Not all ladies look nice in
a skin tight dress, I don't either. A couple of ideas
when choosing a dress, you may like to choose one colour but have
all different styles to suit the
bridesmaids or have all different colours this looks great and
brightens the day.
